Trout Fishing

 

Chestnut Pool is now available for day ticket fly fishing. Stocked with high quality rainbow trout in the 2 to 4lb bracket in August, these fish have had plenty of time to settle and get used to natural food items.

 

Successful flies so far have been damsel nymphs, gold head hares ear, Montana in regular and mini sizes and viva in all its guises—regular, mini, gold head etc.

Cob House Academy

The cob House Academy begins in 2010 and we are currently welcoming registration to this club. The Academy offers junior anglers the opportunity to try angling for the first time, or to advance their angling skills in a safe and secure environment.  We are very keen to hear your ideas for what you would like from the Academy—things like free taster days, angling tuition and a discount in our planned tackle shop, have already been suggested.

The new development at Cob House is moving quickly. The new coach park and main car park are close to completion and the foundations for the teaching centre and canteen are in place.

 

The steel work for the main structure will be arriving next week!
