At Cob House Fisheries, we pride ourselves on producing quality coarse fish for restocking. We specialise in English bred Common and Mirror Carp, Tench and True Crucian Carp for commercial angling.
We are one of only a few stand-alone fish farms in Britain producing stock fish from egg to sale from our own resident English broodstock. All aspects of breeding, rearing and growing-on are carried out in our state of the art warm-water hatchery, growing systems and outdoor ponds, on our fish farm in Worcestershire. We do not import any stock fish for growing on, nor do we supply stock fish from commercial netting operations.
We have built a great reputation throughout the country, especially for our beautifully scaled English Mirror Carp, which are sought by our customers in preference to the leather Carp offered by many other stock fish suppliers.
We do not claim to be ‘Britain's largest fish farm’ or ‘the countries biggest supplier of coarse fish’. We do however, offer generously sized, hand-graded, disease free English bred stock fish at competitive prices and a top quality service.
We are a C.E.F.A.S. registered fish farm and all our stock fish are fully health checked according to Environment Agency and C.E.F.A.S requirements, including testing negative for KHV and SVC.

Ornamental Fish
We also breed ghost Carp, shubunkins and occasionally some koi, which we currently sell exclusively to wholesale fish suppliers Empress Imports. As is our policy with other species, we only breed from English bred broodstock kept on site at the farm.
We have some gorgeous Ghost Carp at present with pure white markings and many have stunning Mirror (doitsu) scalation (see picture of fully-scaled Mirror ghost to left).
We currently have Shubunkins in the 3-4” and 4-5” ranges and some nice White and Red Goldfish (actually bred from Shubunkins) with particularly strong markings, rather similar to Kohaku Koi. We have been tempted to call them Kohakubunkins!
