Fishing at Cob House
A warm welcome to Cob House Fishery, a coarse fishery that offers peaceful fishing in beautiful surroundings and caters for both the visiting pleasure angler and match angler alike.
Anglers can currently enjoy eight coarse fishing pools on day ticket, with four of the pools also available for match bookings. We also run regular open matches, details of which can be found on our Match Fishing Page.
Chestnut Pool is now open for day ticket, fly only trout fishing for hard fighting Rainbow Trout. Bookings can be made by calling Helen on 01886 888 517.
Four established old Victorian stew ponds offer mixed fishing amongst beautifully mature bank side vegetation and a wealth of wildlife. There are some good sized carp in these pools, with at least two over the twenty pound mark. Please follow the link for further details.
Four newly established, well stocked pools give the visiting angler the chance to catch a large 'bag' of fish consisting mainly of our hard fighting Cob House Carp reared on our own Fish Farm.
Our popular Cob House Academy gives juniors of all abilities the chance to learn to fish and develop their angling skills. Our qualified coaches are on hand to guide youngsters into what can become a life-long pastime.
We are probably the only fishery in the country to have two full-time staff qualified in aquatics and fishery management —Manager Phil Walters and Technician Scott Jones — they are often out and about on site to answer any questions you may have and are always approachable and willing to help.

Breakfast served daily 11:30am.
Weekend Breakfast only 50 per item, the breakfast pictured is just £3.50 plus coffee/tea.

Until 29th February 2012, Coarse fish and have your 5 item Weekday English Breakfast for £6.20. Match fish on weekdays an have your 5 item weekday English Breakfast & Match Ticket for £7.95.
(Breakfast is 5 items plus complimentary toast and a cup to tea/or small filter coffee, any items over this will be charged at 50p per item)
